Leadership Spotlight

Brenda Foster Spotlight

This week we feature Brenda Foster. Brenda, a seasoned Realtor® since 2010, has been an active board member within the Bismarck Mandan Board of Realtors® (BMBOR). Currently serving her final year on the Board of Directors, Brenda's leadership extends far beyond her real estate career.

With a strong foundation in leadership enhanced through roles as Executive Director of the McLean Family Resource Center and the North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations (NDANO), Brenda brings over thirty years of knowledge and a wealth of experience to serving on the board.

Brenda also worked within the Economic Development world for over fifteen years and served as a lobbyist for three sessions, along with assisting the ND Secretary of States office in publishing the 1st ever publication listing all the nonprofit organizations in the State of ND. Her dedication to serving her community is evident in her various roles, including RPAC Chair along with various other BMBOR committees. As a registered lobbyist in the past, I am very passionate about RPAC and the strides that have been made on a national and statewide level that protect homeownership to the very people we call our clients & customers along with protecting our line of work.  Currently, Brenda is serving as the Dakota’s RRC (Residential Real Estate Council) as their President and was named the Dakota’s RRC REALTOR of the Year in 2023. Brenda has always found a way to get involved with organizations that help people and communities in one or another. Currently, she is involved with the Bismarck Lions Club on various committees, board member, and volunteers at the Dream Center serving breakfast each week.  Brenda has served on numerous boards that include, local, state, and national boards over the years and has always found a way to volunteer in one way or another for over 35 years.

Brenda's passion for leadership and commitment to the real estate industry has been instrumental in being a part of BMBOR. She emphasizes the importance of education and communication within the board and encourages members to get involved at the committee level. If you are interested in leadership within the Bismarck/Mandan Board of REALTOR, start small, make a commitment by joining a committee, and make sure you choose one that interests you then commit to one year and then think about becoming a board member.

Brenda Foster's contributions to the real estate industry and the community are invaluable. Her leadership and dedication serve as an inspiration for aspiring leaders within BMBOR.
